  • Roll Call~~Saturday 7/25

I have been stuffing my anger & frustration with food. So not only dealing with neck/shoulder pain I have made myself feel worse by putting bad carbs in my body. My old habit of stuffing my feelings has reared it's ugly head once again.

Jumping back on the wagon as of today. Taking control back!

      Re: Roll Call~~Saturday 7/25

Finally met another mini goal, took from April until nearly the end of July to lose that five pounds, but I think the scale is finally moving again and I am hopefully past my plateau. I've lost 26 pounds since December, and am treating this as a lifestyle change, not a diet.

For those of you who are getting discouraged because the weight is not coming off quickly, just don't give up. I was eating too much cheese and once I cut that back and started exercising, things started moving again. I don't care if it takes three years to get to my goal weight, I just don't want to gain any back! 26 pounds is quite an accomplishment. I haven't been at this weight since 2001!!!

      Hang in there people!!

        Hi there
Well, I lost all I had gained back and a bit more...then i ate a Gyro Salad with Tzatziki sauce on it...Thought I was being good but found out this morning on the scale that maybe I was not? Gained back 3 lbs overnight! The salad had: lettuce, kalamata olives, real gyro meat, green peppers, red onions, feta cheese and tzatziki sauce. I drank iced tea and gave the bread sticks to hubby. I thought I was being good..any insight??

          Hey Folks!

Finally home from vacation.. I fell off the wagon BIGTIME! Shaking it off and hitting it hard today.. I was actually relieved to be back home where my foods are safe!

Oz - Stay strong! I'm back to induction carb levels for a week to get my arse back in gear... Today and tomorrow will be the toughest

Judy - gratz on your mini goal!

Alaska - my body can fluctuate 5lbs in a day.. just due to salt intake and water intake.. perhaps the olives & feta were too much salt for you? I wouldnt worry too much.

The only thing I can think of is the tzatziki sauce, which is made with yogart. That's a Rung 2 food. I'm also thinking it could be sodium from the kalamata olives. So maybe it's just water retention. Just make sure to drink plenty of water to flush the sodium out. You'll be fine. The sauce is legal as long as you're on rung 2. It sounds delicious at that.
Great job giving the bread sticks away.
Also, it's not unusual to have a weightloss rhythm of the scale going up and then back down. It doesn't mean that you've done something wrong.

oooooh yogurt??? I thought it was sour cream...oopsy! lol I goofed, I am just at the end of my first induction and am moving on to extended induction until I lose down to 200 lbs and then i will start the OWL. Yeah, maybe I did have too much sodium...and I really didn't drink enough water for the day...also I had tuna on a slab of tomato for breakfast which isn't my usual. hmmm likely I should just drink extra water today and watch my sodium intake for a few days. Thanks so much!
I also should not be weighing every single day maybe but I tend to use it as a daily reminder of why I do this woe!
              Thanks everyone!

It's good that you know what caused you to go off track, Glenda. Now if you sit down and devise some strategies to cope with these feelings next time problems arise, you can use this cheat in your advantage in the future.

I hope you had a good first-day-back-on-the-wagon day today.

26 lbs is awesome, Judy! How did your measurements change?

And good for you that you identified your problems and changed things.
