  • Oh my...moving forward from induction early?

I've been trying to do a clean induction and have failed miserably with the use of peanut butter and not getting enough veggies in. I started over and I'm not that far into my clean induction. However, I don't have that much to lose now and I'm not sure I'll make it through the rest of induction and then OWL before I'm at goal. Should I just move on with the plan?? I'm afraid of rushing it because I want to make sure that I learn how my body reacts to certain foods and find my carb limit for mantaining and my point at which I will lose again.

You do not have to restart Induction if you mess up. Just make sure you keep the "illegal" food that you've been eating away and aim for a clean 14-day Induction. The first 14 days are just just that: the first 14. If you mess up, you can't repeat them by restarting Induction. The starting point is offset, so your results will inevitably be skewed.

Anyway, that's past for you now. You've finished your 2-week Induction (clean or not, probably the metabolic resistance charts are not useful given that you cheated, but other than that you should be fine) and you should definitely move to OWL. Add more 5 net carbs of veggies and make sure you count your carbs carefully. Wait with peanut butter and other foods until you reach the correct rung.

    Happy OWLing!

The hight weight chart I looked at had 106 pounds as the lowest possible healthy weight for someone five foot one and with a small frame. I know charts differ a lot, just want to make sure you have set healthy goals. Look around and be sure your goal weight is healthy for you.

My starting weight was 235 lbs and I'm trying to get to 130 lbs.

      1st mini goal: 145! met 12/09
      2nd mini goal: 140!
      3rd mini goal:135!
      4th mini goal: 130!

I drink coffee. I drink when I am thirsty. I am just a low carber. Not on Atkins at all!!! He has everything to do with my weightloss and nothing to do with it, depending on who you ask.

Georgiana - Thanks again! I took your advice and moved on to OWL. I can't wait till I can have berries! I miss my fruit. I even put all the peanut butter up in the back of the top shelves of the cabinets. If I even think about wanting some, it would be too much work to reach it. lol I don't know if this counts as far as metobolic resistance goes, but I did a clean induction my first time on atkins and lost 11lbs in those two weeks. I hear one tends to lose slower after that golden shot though so maybe my resistance is different now?

RitaCeleste - I appreciate the concern! I chose my weight based on being happy with the way that I would look. My sister and I are the same height and she weighs a little bit less than my goal weight which gives me an idea of how my body might be shaped at that weight. I will be careful and see how I feel when I'm close to goal. For me, its all about being happy with the way that I look and feeling great as well.
