  • *Sigh* Let's try again, again.

I started this diet back December of last year and was doing great. Everything was going well and there was no sign of stopping. I lost almost fifty pounds in about f and 1/2 months and was thinner than I had been in years.

Then I got 3 herniated disks. It hurt to stand for any amount of time and I could not cook and prepare food. I ended up going off of the diet for the simple reason that I could not physically prepare my food.

Then stress related eating started as I turned to comfort foods. Add five pounds.

Then they started me on steroids. Add ten pounds.

Then I started eating because I was bored after weeks in the house without being able to do anything but sit in a chair. Add some more weight.

Then I finally started drinking pop because I would be so tired from staying up all night in pain I "needed" it for energy. Add lots more weight.

Another round of steroids breaks the leveling out I experienced for a decent amount of time, and started the gaining again.

Now here I am, after four months on the diet, then four months off, and I am back to almost what I weighed when I started.

Started at 365 dropped to 320 and now weigh 360. I feel like crap, I look terrible, and I am so frustrated with myself.

I have tried to shed some weight, but with almost no physical activity, it's impossible.

I need to go back on my diet. I am now well enough to be able to cook and prepare my low carb foods, so I am going to go back on it.

We are going on Vacation next week, and I know I will not be able to stick to induction then so I am going to go on it when we get home. Wish me luck. I need it. I'll be stopping by for support. This board was a big help last time around.

Looks like you've been through a lot of medical trouble, Jeremy. Welcome back to ADBB!

Even if you don't do Atkins Induction while on vacation, you can still eat healthy foods, something like Atkins Maintenance. That will give you a lot of variety, plus you'll be feeling better without being on a carb high.

Have fun on vacation and then come back here to share with us how you're shrinking.
