Hi All!
Yep, I've been here before
For the past 1+, I have been following an Atkins maintenance/YOU on a diet eating plan and all has gone really well. My body has settled into a comfy weight, my exercise has increased (increased from gym classes to running races, triathlons, etc...), so why am I back?
I ran a tough 10 mile race through a super hilly, tough course (Garden of the Gods) in June. I ran on a twisted ankle and have had injury after injury ever since. Today, I was at the doctors due to a partially torn achilles tendon. I'll be off my leg for 2+ weeks and it scares the crap out of me... That, coupled with my increasing cravings for anything with sugar makes me think I should get back to square one - Go back to what I know helps with cravings and get my eating and mind back on track.
Since I can't really do much activity for 2 weeks, the perfect opportunity is NOW. Induction totally slows me down, my body doesn't do well with strenuous activity during this time. I am feeling pretty good about this, hopeful, excited, and looking forward to healing, losing my cravings and getting back on track. See you tomorrow at roll call!
