    TGIF!!!

    Today is the day I start taking care of me just for today. Simple whole foods, plenty of H20 & exercise. I can't fall off the Atkins 3 legged stool anymore. I deserve the success of reaching the finish line! I know all these things thanks to the love & support of my ADBB friends. I'm feeling the love!

    I've definitely done better since joining this forum - up a little today, but not worried - had a great week - looking forward to a great weekend!

          Thurs. was my first day back & I did pretty good. The office is against me of course... one lady had a caramel roll sitting on my desk at seven. The boys bought ice-cream at 2... I said, NO to each.

          My body has been falling apart little by little and it is time to take control of this mess. For some reason my body has been retaining massive amounts of water. I went to the Dr. for the edema as it is that bad. She said I am carring around 15-20lbs of water that I shouldn't be. She put me on water pills right away, but they dont seem to be helping. I have been taking them for two weeks now. They did a blood panel and that all came back positive. So I am just a freak. - I dont know what else to do if there isn't anything medically wrong with me.

          My mom the smart lady that she is, suggested I get back on Atkins. I just feel better on this plan and she knows it. I need to make it my WOL though once and for all.

              I'm here, still hanging comfortably at 226 for the second day in a row. Cheat free for 18 days. Got a little hard last night...suddenly we keep getting invited out for dinner and we keep ending up at places that have nothing we can eat. Luckily I noticed that this one place served breakfast all day (tiny section on the BACK of the menu) so I had an omlette. REALLY wanted the fried sweet corn fritters though. And the apple crisp with ice cream that someone the others shared. URG. I did take in some deep sniffs of the apple crisp and then wish I hadn't...but seeing the scale down .4 pounds this morning made it worth it.

              Today I work out seriously and catch up on my business orders.

                I haven't posted for a few days but hey!! I'm down 10 lbs. It's been a month so far (on the 24th). I never could do a super strict Atkins, so I tend to go over by maybe 15 or 20 carbs. Whenever I would try to do real strict 20 carbs, I'd quit. This is working for me.
