    It's October already! Where did the summer go? I have been on plan 9 months and have lost 40 pounds, not too shabby!!! Hope everyone has a great day.

    I'm very excited about October. Last month was good, definitely re-focused and newly motivated since joining this forum. I've uped my challenges and may join one more. I plan to see the 220's during october, and hopefully maybe the 210's [little excited giggle]. I moved to OWL, which is somewhat nerve wracking for me, but figure I'm probably there anyway - just need to read up and journal!

      Way to go Judy!!! Pat yourself on the back babe...you deserve it.

      I on the other hand am up one lb. from last week... but there could be a lot of factors messing with me today. So, I am just going to hold onto that belief and stay on track. Next week will be better for me, I just know it.

      It is raining here in ND, thunderstorms expected. Yuck! I hate this weather... and winter is soon to follow. I don't mind a change of season, but winter here is sooooo long.

      Hubby just found out that he has diabetes... so now we are trying to figure out his disease & getting his numbers to come down. He will not do a low carb diet with me, insists that he needs to eat his bread and yogart and such. Oh well, what do I know. I am just going to continue to do the low carb way of life... as I know it is what my body works best on.

        Way to go Judy!!

        I am down to 211.2 this morning. That leaves me with 30 more days to see 205. Going to be a tough weekend. I am having friends come in town and we are going to a football game Saturday. I am planning on getting some michelob ultra light and staying on course as far food goes. I don't want to get on here Monday and say "ughhh I hate weekends"

          I am here as well! Looking forward to October and hoping to see the 210s myself! I've been battling the last two pounds for over a week now. They are on again, off again and ticking this little gal off!

          Shauna...his doctor MUST have told him that a lower carb or at least lower glycemic diet was best for him with diabetes. Everyone knows that diabetics have to watch their carbs and sugars closely. Does he think he's immune to all that? Has he been put on insulin injections yet? He may find himself more likely to try dieting before sticking himself with needles.

          A friend of mine is doing everything to shorten his lifespan that he can these days, smoking , drinking, eating loads of carbs, and he's had diabetes his whole life. I gave up on him years ago and told him (while holding him over a trash can while he puked up the night of drinking he had just done) that I was not going to stand by and watch him commit suicide over the next few years. Its hard to watch people make stupid decisions that affect their health like that.

            Hello, everyone. Woke up early and exercised. That's something I had not done in a couple of months so it felt really good. I'm hoping I don't feel it too much later!

                No one is here in the evening, but I still need to check in. Someone has to be last. lol I'm going to have to see if I can change my day around to be here early with you all. I like reading how everyone is doing as well. I'm ready for a successful October loss.
