    Good Morning!
(That ketosis early morning wake-up thing can kick in anytime now)

I thought that one was cute...

Well, I'm really wanting to start waking up early like I used to when I was in ketosis before... but, the last few days I've been waking up at 4am, then 6am, then hitting snooze until 8am when I HAVE to be up to take my son to the bus... Not like me in ketosis at ALL, so I'll be buying ketosis strips or digging out my old ones from a box somewhere around here... not everything is unpacked yet...

And, where is everyone? Numbers have dwindled horribly since I've been here last...

I hope everyone is having a GREAT morning and has a terrific day!

    ~* Laura *~

    I will never give up.

I'm here and on plan and looking for a drop this weekend too barrnone. I'm not quite sure why I've been stuck at this weight for a week, it seems so early to be slowing down to a pound or less a week and I've been over my meals with a fine tooth comb and can't find any culprits. I don't eat any frankenfood, I eat pretty plain meals most of the time like a ground beef patty and green beans or salad. Haven't changed my salad dressing or any condiments. Never drank soda before or now. I do allow myself 1-2 glasses of iced tea with sweet-n-low a day, but that has never caused problems before. I realize this is NOT before, so I might experiment with cutting down or letting go of my ice tea, but that is my one true passion.

I think my body is just in shock and trying to figure out what I'm doing to it and will catch up soon (at least I hope).

      Have a great day all!

          Good Morning Ladies!

I've been wondering the same thing about how quiet it's gotten around here since last time I was around. No one has offered an explanation for that one yet. But the people who are around seem to be very active on the boards, so that's nice. I do much better with support.

I'm on Day 13 of Induction and 3 1/2 lbs down. I lost 5 lbs on induction last time around, but I was also 3 years younger. I'm happy with my progress thus far and look forward to adding more veggies in OWL because my body seems to really like that. Another 1/2 lb and I'll be 10% of the way to goal

I'm SO happy it's Friday! Can't wait to head home. We're making steak on the grill, and I'm thinking about topping mine with the mixture used inside the whooshie pie. I love that flavor and a lil whooshie would be nice.

Wishing you all a fantastic weekend!

                Re: STAC Rollcall Friday 10-23-9

"Whooshie" used to be a popular word around here. A "whooshie" is an overnight weight loss...whatever it may be. Whooshie Pie or Hamburger Pie is one of my favorite Induction friendly foods (if you leave out the onion). Most people do see a "whooshie" after eating it because horseradish is a diuretic. I find the mixture you put inside to be very flavorful, and I think it will be great on steak! If you make the pie I suggest putting half the mixture inside and half on top (in the last 15 min) so it doesn't dry out. Here's the recipe:

I love the whooshie sauce as well, I think I'll have that tonight since you mentioned it. I don't put it inside the burger any more either, I just make up the sauce and use it on burgers, steak whatever. I like spicy stuff and it makes a flavorful topping.

I know I already checked in today, but I had to come back to report... After I posted earlier I got my shower and went to get dressed and being Friday (I do my laundery on the weekends) it was slim pickens for what I had to wear and actually wanted to wear. So I went to the drawer where I put the clothes that don't fit but I'd like to still wear some day, lol. And came accross a brand new black velour sweat type of outfit that has never fit me since I bought it, but I liked it and held onto it. Its been 2 years since I bought it and IT FIT!!!!! So forget that darn scale, I'm making progress, plus I noticed today when I look down, I don't see any belly, JUST BOOBS!

This absolutely made my day! I wish I could look down and see those, but I've never been, ummm, "blessed" in that department. What a wonderful feeling to fit into something BRAND new and never worn! Rock your outfit today!

                          Hi everyone;

I began induction on 09/24 and lost a whopping 15.2 lbs. I really didn't mind the induction foods so I decided to stick with it until I'd reached my ideal weight.

Monday I worked all day and stayed up later than normal. My son, who is in college half way across the country sent an urgent message that he needed help. He was in an accident. He was not physically injured thank God but the emotional trauma was almost as bad. It's called survival guilt. I'm sorry but after sitting up on the instant messenger with him all night I knew that I needed to be there with him. I woke DH up at 4am and told him I needed money and his truck immediately. I drove 16 hours after being up 24 hours to reach my son. I drank tons of water and I didn't want to lose a minute of time so when I got hungry I drank an Atkins shakes. Once I got there I knew he needed to eat so I fixed a good ole' home cooked meal that he needed despirately. I used what he had on hand. I ate forbidden foods. I sat up and held him until he was asleep for the first time in 4 days. I spent the next 3 days cooking, talking and eating with him. Yes, most of it was not induction friendly although I did try to watch my intake quantity. Now was not the time to be different. I needed to be 100% in sync with him and that meant eating, thinking and sleeping like him. It worked. He was much much better after the first couple of days. The trauma will take some time to heal but the immediate threat of a complete meltdown was averted. I had to come back to work so I stayed with him until the last possible moment and drove another 16 hours home surviving on water and this time a few Dr. Peppers, a mean bean, and even some raisin cane chicken strips in the mix since the others weren't condusive to keeping me awake.

Oh my, now I'm having the terrible guilt. I did weigh myself and was actually surprised that I'd only gained a few pounds back. It still concerns me because I've read at least a dozen times that "You cannot redo induction." Now I'm stuck and I don't know what to do or where to pick up from where I left off. HELP!

I am new here, I began the Induction on October 13th. I'm 12 days in. I weighed in on one thread, not sure which one it was but I've lost 7 pounds in 11 days. I'm very pleased. Even so, I've struggled coming off of sugar and caffeine.

I saved the link to the recipe for the Whooshie sauce. Thanks!
