On November 1, 2005 I started Atkins for the very first time. I successfully completed all stages, and within seven months lost 71lbs. I had (have) been struggling with my weight my entire life, and never found anything even close that lead to such success! I felt healthy, happy, and full (very important), and the pounds just kept melting off like butter.
A year and a half after my weight loss, I started straying from the "plan" here and there. I had gained about 15lbs back, but justified the gain to myself by saying "well at least I'm still less than 200!".
I ended up pregnant with my third son (total surprise), and made a mountain of unhealthy choices. My son is now two, and I'm as heavy as I ever was. I have since tried a few minimal attempts, but gave up easily because I wasn't ready to commit to the lifestyle. But, I'm ready NOW
Since today is the anniversary date of my first (successful) time, I've decided mentally that if I stuck to the program, I would find success once again. If anyone is willing to be my buddy, and offer mutual support, it would be greatly appreciated.
I know I can do this (I have before), but everything is always better with a friend!!
PS. First day of induction is a challenge (especially with all of the candy laying around..but proud to say that I'm "cheat free" and on the road to success.."
