  • STAC Roll Call ~ Thursday 11/19/09

    Here and on plan, up about 4/10ths of a pound today (had to see those nasty 213s after all, lol). But its all good, I'm wearing my brand new 14/16 outfit and it really isn't tight at all. I think I had just gotten so used to my 18/20's being loose that I thought the new outfit was tighter than it is when I tried it on at the store.

    I have a long day today, heading out to the office in a few, have a budget meeting that is going to run from 2-7 and then an annual business meeting from 7-9. Tack on an hour and a half drive EACH way, and the couple of hours I'll work before the first meeting and its going to be about a 14 hour day. Gotta get some food ready to take with me.

    2nd Goal ~ 174 No longer obese
    3rd Goal ~ 150 In the home stretch
    Final Goal ~ 145 or below (I'll know when I get there) No longer overweight

    Good morning everyone...

    Ugh Barb, I remember those days.... 14 hours I used to work 12 hour days + minimum 1 hr commute each way + 1/2 hr pre-work stuff, and of course the extra time allotted going in case of traffic tie ups. I'm so glad to be retired, even if I work harder now with the ranch than I ever did for a pay check I wonder if general work stress could be affecting your weight loss? It has been said that stress can cause a stall.

    I'm happy to report that my "system" is finally working right. I've changed things to start my day with a hot flax cereal (3T flax, hot water, 1 T cream, little sweetner), and no extra fiber through the day. I think the main thing, I raised my magnesium intake. It wasn't so much being plugged, it was that my intestines were sleeping. Thanks for all the suggestions.

    Other than that, still on plan, doing my challenges and working alot outside.

      Barb - sounds exhausting! Congrats on the new outfit - how fun.

      Kntrylady - glad things are moving along

      I decided to take a day off, clear calendar, so not an issue. I've been so busy lately, just needed to spend some time at home. Got thru a couple of tasks, plus worked on a new afghan and watched a movie - very successful day.

        Hi, I am re starting Atkins on Monday. That is the day I gave myself to start fresh.

        I did low carb years ago and lost a lot of weight; looked great; then thought I could just do whatever ... well you know how that goes .... weight gain.

        Then I decided to try Weight Watchers ... lost 40 lbs ... then struggled with keeping it off. I was soooo hungry all the time.

        I can't keep up this weight gain; I now weigh more than I ever have and am wearing a size I have NEVER worn and am disgusted with myself.

        We just went on vacation and am still on ... so Monday is my first day re inducting. You will probably see so much of me on here you will get tired of me LOL!!!

        Looking forward to getting to know you all on this journey.
