I have read my book like I read my bible, but I remember someone saying on this board (a long time ago) that if you are really thirsty it means you are burning fat. Is that possible? I do drink my water everyday like I am supposed to, but I can't seem to get enough. I know more water will not kill me so I know that I will be ok, I was just wondering if this were true?

Re: So so thirsty!!!
Ketosis has a diuretic effect, which is stronger in the first week or so of Induction. Protein also has a diuretic effect, and you are probably eating more than you were eating before. So being thirsty is somehow expected."Get action. Seize the moment. Man was never intended to become an oyster."

I had wondered about that also. I seem to be much more thirsty than I used to be. I guess that's why. Thanks for the info and thanks for asking the question mj.male/35/295/250/175? Weight loss is no longer my primary goal. Getting to the point where I no longer feel like h-e-doublehockeysticks is!
