Alrighty, I am back to Induction and need lots of support! I have "done" Atkins more times than I can count, but only two of those times have been for more than a couple weeks. 6 years ago I lost about 25 pounds in just over 2 months. Then I was a summer camp counselor, which was a disaster! Then I actually did the program by the book from June-September 2008. I lost over 30 pounds in 3 months and was feeling fantastic. I don't know what happened. I have tried for over a year to figure it out.
Like so many people in STAC threads have mentioned, I never wanted to start completely over. I thought I could start again on rung 2, or still have coffee, etc. In the mean time, I have started Induction a handful of times, tried Weight Watchers, joined a gym, and still gained all the weight back.
Today I am 210 pounds, and my goal is to be at 140. The hardest part for me is to get started. After the first week I am fine, and I don't miss the food I can't have. Last time around I drank nothing but water and had no artificial sweeteners during those 2 weeks. I felt amazing!!
Hubby and I are waiting to start a family until we are both at healthy weights. For me, that means 155 lbs, which will put my BMI in the healthy range. We have looked forward to this for years (he is just finishing law school) that I really can't wait to get there.
So, here I go. I look forward to posting often, and offering as well as receiving support from all of you. Thanks for this great place for those of us who have been down this road before, and sometimes find it harder the second, or thirtieth time!
