How large is the can of nuts? Are you on the nut rung of OWL?

Why is there fudge on the counter?

    Get out of the kitchen!!!

I can't imagine they're Atkins friendly, really. I've never seen a South Beach product that I would eat.

        >>just need to get back into total control >>

How will eating a can of nuts or fudge help you with that goal?

            This is good.

I would put the nuts away for when you are in the nut rung. If they're unopened, put them away where you won't see them; if they're opened, put them in the back of the freezer for later down the road. That SBD Nutrition mix is a nice one; just too early in your Atkins journey to have them. Also, 1/2 can is way too much.

Your situation points out why it is so important to plan ahead for moments of temptation. Try to have something on-plan on hand for when these moments arise. It seems to be more of a problem in the beginning but it's good to plan ahead.

During my first week of Induction I was "saved" by Linda Sue's Mock Danish recipe. All it took was 1/2 of it with a cup of decaf tea and I was good to go.

I agree about having something on hand for these situations. Just because you can't have THAT treat doesn't mean that you can't have a treat at all. Check out the dessert recipes on the boards and on Linda's site that you could whip up and have handy when you need them. For me, I like to heat up some pumpkin, spice, splenda, and a little cream when the sweet tooth hits me.

                Re: help

                Hi there!
Hope you did ok yesterday!! I know cravings can be a b*tch!! LOL

With the fudge and nuts you need to realize you're only feeding head hunger.
You've gotta be stronger than both!

A can of nuts is not good, nor is a peice of fudge...

You're only hurting yourself with the mindset of 'one or the other'.

Don't get me wrong, I have had many cans of nuts (I learned the hard way but I now avoid nuts like the plague because I can't control myself with them)...

Guess what happend when I continued to give into my cravings by over eating 'Atkins friendly foods'.. I gained weight! And lot of it.

Help yourself now and break the bad habits!!
                You can do it!!

Oh and btw, IMO the nuts are way better. I've gone off plan but never started eating sugar again. ... after reading and re-reading the book many times I understand the effect it has on my body, I would never choose the fudge...

I agree, get out of the kitchen. Go for a walk, or something. You don't need the fudge, or the nuts.

thank you...i did have some of the nuts last night but no fudge...

i went to the movies wiht some friends this morning, one brought m&m's, twizzlers and popcorn, i had maybe 10 kernels of the unbuttered popcorn,
no candy and i stayed strong...then to olive garden...alittle less positive there....soup,salad and breadsticks, did have 1 of the breadsticks, the soup didnt eat the pasta, left it behind, and the croutons did avoid them....

i havent started completely over again since last monday but i am really watching the carb intake....i was away for far too long and have to stay strong...need to keep on this track and i will be ready to start this woe the right way really soon

thanks for the help and support....no fudge for me yeahhh

by the way its complicated was soooooofunny...you have to see it
