Hi everyone
I keep seeing people commenting about how they fell off the Atkins wagon & thought you all might find my story quite amusing.
6 years ago, I was about 3 stone overweight & started Atkins. It was fantastic, I lost all the excess pounds within 6 months, felt wonderful, fit, slim, energetic....it was amazing.
I was 35 at the time, single mum of 3 & trying to support my kids. Feeling so rejuvinated, I started full time college again on a 3 year course. Passed the course with flying colours but......& theres always a but.....guess what I qualifyed as.........Yep, a chef!!!
Nothing wrong with that you may think but, you have to 'try before they buy'......ie eat everything you serve , & working 12 hour shifts, you had to eat what was being served....long story short, in the 3 years I was at college, I put the 3 stones I'd previously lost straight back on!!!
Anyway, this now fully qualified chef, couldnt find work locally that fitted in with school hours (though there was loads of work going when I started) & is now selling gothic/alternative clothing on the internet & back on induction.
Hope I will soon lose the weight again, need to be able to model my clothing now.....never thought Id be saying that.
The long/short of this story is...Atkins will change your life but......dont join Catering college, LOL
