Re: Thursday Jan 7 Roll Call

I'm in. Day 2 was much better than day 1 headache-wise. Surprisingly, I'm still hungry a lot though.

Day 3 is going well so far!

Re: Thursday Jan 7 Roll Call

Hi Everyone, I have been posting everyday but since I live in Alaska, its always after everyone else gets to bed! rofl I always feel like no one reads what I say because of that so I am trying to post earlier today. I do have to rush out today so won't be on much till later though.

I re-started on Jan. 2nd and have lost 6 lbs so far!
I am starting to get over my initial "flu" symptoms and am feeling much better. I am learning that I tend to forget to eat now and then I get a bad headache. So have to watch that.

Well, take care folks! See you later!!

I'm here, on plan, and I'm still working on my "why didn't I lose pounds or inches" problem - but I think I've got it licked. Monday will tell for sure - or at least, identify the most likely suspect food as the problem!

Re: Thursday Jan 7 Roll Call

Forgot my dang lunch again today. I've got to quit running out of the house without making something. Did a P90X workout this morning, I hurt! Also put the scale in the back of the closet, that thing keeps telling me to step on it! I posted on Facebook for all my friends to read.

I need to be accountable for what I've done........

to myself. Some of you might have known me long enough to remember the skinny Jim. 5 years ago I weighed 185 lbs. I have been chubby most of my life, at about 10 years old I started getting husky. After high school I got big and stayed that way until about 6 years ago. I went on a diet, started exercising and dropped a ton of weight. I was in the best shape of my life and then I went off the deep end. I stopped caring about what I ate, quit going to the gym, started drinking every day, pretty much eating and drinking untill I was full and or drunk. Which is how I got to where I am now, the fat guy. All that changed on December 29th, IVE HAD ENOUGH, I dont want to be the fat guy, I dont want to struggle to get into my clothes, I dont want to be out of breath after walking up a flight of stairs, I dont want to be tired and hungover every morning, I dont want to be fat. So on Decemeber 29th I decided to turn my life around, again, for good. No more overeating, no caffeine, no alcohol, exercise regularly and proper diet. I have to do this, for myself and for my family. I have the cards stacked against me with my families history of heart disease, diabetes, thyroid disease, heart attacks........ So I write this note, not for you but for me. I put this out there so I will be accountable for how I live my life from now on. If I want to slip I'll remember this note and everything I wrote and I'll know all my friends read it and they expect me to me true to my word. So here I go, the long road to recovery, Im glad I have the support of all my friends. Thanks guys.

Re: Thursday Jan 7 Roll Call

Jim, we are truly birds of a feather. I lost 47 pounds last year and was in great shape. I fell off the wagon after Easter and proceeded to gain 55. We can do this! PS, great accountability. That is what most people lack that don't make it. Great to be taking the journey with you.

Thanks tfek70, were real close on our start and finish weights, age (36), and kids (3). Accountablity is very important to me, expectually with raising 3 boys.

Re: Thursday Jan 7 Roll Call

Hi all, I don't usually have much time in the mornings and so that is why I usually post in the evenings.

I wasn't cutting anyone down or making excuses...I typically am smiling and in a good mood when I post. It's hard for folks to see that I suppose and maybe I should use more smilies!

I am a mother of 3, full time college student (later in life) and my husband works on the tip top of the world and is usually gone for many weeks/months at a time. So life keeps me super busy and that is the excuse I always used while I ate bad foods on the run. But this time, I am thinking ahead of the game. I am making egg muffins and quiches and freezing them for the mornings, planning my lunches and dinners in advance, and making sure I have all my ingredients available. I am cooking large roasts and poultry and storing the meat in the freezer for future use and for sudden quick meals. So this time...I won't have excuses!!!

My next step is to focus on preparing munchies to store in the house. I am also starting to cut up vegies in advance for snacks and meals. I hope everyone had a great day!
