Good morning! I'm in Florida and it's freezing here too. I wish I could crawl back under the covers...maybe later.

We went out last night with dh's coworkers. I had never met them before. What a fun group of people! We were really good and had wings and caesar salads and no alcohol. I even asked if the wings were breaded or dusted with flour before frying. Nope, just naked wings with skin. I was surprised that I was full after about 6 of them.

Stay warm and have a great day everyone.

      Good morning all!

Oz, I hope you get a temperature up there today, but I doubt it. It didn't make it above freezing here yesterday. I'm about 30 miles north of Jacksonville, and it's the coldest I've seen it in my 6 years here.

Once again, I'm a loser. Down 1 today, yay me! I am out of good ideas for foods, what are you guys eating today? Nothing sounds good. I'll probably have some wings at some point today while I watch my Packers beat up on the Cardinals. Have a great day today!

Re: Sunday Jan 10 Roll Call

I'm not a loser today. I am a gainer. I went to a party last night, and while I did not have a large potato, or cookies, and sweets they had, I did have a few mixed drinks. No no at this stage and I'm paying for it in water weight gain and probably salt retention. I had two steaks, and the steak I had before is still with me. So until I can get rid of those things I'm up to 173.

Well I guess I've decided to stay in induction for another week. I had lost almost 9 lbs doing it cleanly, so I know I'm at least average resistance when it comes to my CCLL. I wanted to stay on induction and lose about 17lbs on induction before I moved on to OWL.

Re: Sunday Jan 10 Roll Call

I drank last night too... but I had captain and diet at work with a co-worker and then one shot of captain's that I put in a big gulp full of water because there was no diet pop at her house... and yeah, I regret it... even though I didn't gain... I know I'm not supposed to be drinking at this stage on Atkins, and I'm kind of over the whole drinking thing... like, why do we have to drink to socailize? I just don't get the point...

          BUT ANYWAY!

MY HEAT IS BROKEN! Exciting right?
So, I woke up this morning to a wonderful 55 degree house! Super!

I'm off to work an open to close shift 10:15-10:30. Hopefully I make lots of money!!

Here, sore, ready for today. tfex90, I eat alot of chicken, chicken afredo with broccoli, chicken with muchrooms in a soy sauce spenda maranade. Try hot italian sausage links with mushrooms, I boil them to cook and then cut them up and fry with the mushrooms, trick is to under cook them so when you fry with the mushrooms you have lots of juice left from the links to flavor the shrooms. I'm ready for some new ideas too.

Jim, sausage sounds like a winner. I think I'll have some with my spicy sugar free honey mustard sauce. I haven't had that in awhile.

Here and on plan. Had a sweet tooth yesterday, so made some "low carb fudge", it wasn't very good, had a funny after taste and was primarily cream cheese. Even though it wasn't very good, I still over did it trying to get rid of my sweets craving, now I'm up a pound, arghhhhh.

Goooood morning everyone! Everybody seems to be in a super mood and that is motivating in itself! I was good all weekend, made chicken fajitas last night; marinated chicken, stir fried yellow and red peppers and onions with a habanero pepper, homemade salsa, cheese, sour cream and tortillas for the non-atkineers (which means everyone but me). I made mine like a regular plate and was SO full at the end, I felt like I cheated but didn't! have a great day all!

Good morning, everyone! It's a new day and a new week, so all those who are kicking your butt, it's okay! Make you drink your water!

Laura, our heat was out three days, too - last weekend. We bought a couple of small ceramic disc heaters and were able to keep the house at about 62 or so. Considering it was 20 degrees outside, it was good enough!

Have been cooking this weekend to stay prepared for the week. Cooked a pot roast in the crockpot yesterday. Today, cooking chicken breasts for salads and fajitas. Thinking about wings, too. I do much better if I have stuff already made and in baggies or dishes. Then I don't have an excuse for grabbing just anything.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week! Good luck everyone!

                            Morning everyone!!

Woke up with a smile on my face this AM as a result of the fabulous victory by the COWBOYS!!!! Had a wonderful time at the party--not home until 12:30. Eating was 100% on track (spinach artichoke dip on pork rinds, big grilled bunless burger with pepper jack cheese and guacamole, vanilla "mousse" made with cream cheese, heavy cream and vanilla davinci syrup). I did succumb to 1 Gray Goose martini at halftime but completely avoided the beer. Drank lots of water and exercised by jumping up and down repeatedly during the game.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day--off in search of a MILES AUSTIN jersey to wear next week and a Harley collar for our new pup Bella.
