You might want to avoid sweets on Induction.

Induction is a good time to break those "loves".

I'm not a sweets person, but a serving of no-bake cheesecake certainly hits the spot sometimes. I'd follow atkinsgal08's advice, though.

I found this recipe when I was poking through this site. I made it the two nights ago and it is amazing! I added lemon extract also and it was so good. I had two spoon fulls and the sweet tooth was calmed. Your husband will love it!

I am posting the entire post that I got the recipe from.

            Dom's cheesecake pudding

I hope it's ok with Dom that I am posting this over here! I absolutely LOVE this stuff!

            8 oz heavy whipping cream
8 oz cream cheese - softened
            8 oz sour cream
            1/2 cup splenda
            1 tsp vanilla

Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set asside
Mix the rest of the ingredients until smooth. Fold in the whipped cream.

This makes 12 servings (divide equally between 12 foil muffin cups or 12 fluted glasses) @ >3 g. carbs per serving.

Good right out of the bowl, very good chilled, and I'm testing freezing it right now...

You can add a few sliced strawberries or some blackberries or blueberries on top (add the carbs).

            Enjoy!

Re: Is There A Recipe for Induction Friendly Cheesecake?

This is from Linda's website---just do not make the crust if you are on Induction:

I am a big cheesecake maker from WAY WAY back, so I am still expected to bring a cheesecake to family events...so this one may not be as fancy and as

"High end restaurant full of fancy ingredients, liquors, and choco shavings, etc", but it sure has kept my extended family happy and I still have my cheesecake reputation! (Also it DOES freeze well-just portion and wrap properly.)

              MOM'S CHEESE PIE

              16 ounces cream cheese, softened
              1 1/8 cups granulated Splenda
              Dash salt
              3 eggs
              3/4 teaspoon vanilla
              Topping (optional)

              Topping:
              1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoon granulated Splenda or equivalent liquid Splenda
              1 teaspoon vanilla

In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth.
Add the Splenda, salt, eggs and vanilla and beat just until well-combined.
Pour into the dish/crust and bake at 350º 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, raise the oven temperature to 450º. Mix the topping ingredients and spread over the pie. Bake 5 minutes.

Cool, then chill well before serving.

              Makes 8-12 servings

Can be frozen (see note below)

I used a very old recipe that my Mom always used to make, but substituted Splenda for the sugar and low carb cookie crumbs for the graham cracker crust. I was very pleased with the results, although I think there's no real substitute for graham cracker crust. This cheesecake is very creamy and the topping adds a little bit of tartness. You could substitute any low carb cookie crumbs of your choice. Depending on how much butter is in your cookies, you may need to decrease the amount of butter. I'd start with 4 tablespoons and add more if needed.
As you can see, you can save a lot of carbs by using liquid Splenda instead of granulated. Of course you could use the zero carb sweetener of your choice if you don't have liquid Splenda on hand. I probably would not make this recipe

Re: Is There A Recipe for Induction Friendly Cheesecake?

Linda has another no bake I have used once on induction so far and it was very good.
Here it is (I used sugar-free strawberry jello)

                NO-BAKE JELLO CHEESECAKE
1 small box sugar free Jello, any flavor
                1/2 cup boiling water
                1 cup heavy cream
                16 ounces cream cheese, softened
In a small bowl, dissolve the Jello in the boiling water, stirring for 2-3 minutes. Chill until no longer warm. In a small bowl, whip the cream until stiff. In a medium bowl, using the same beaters used for the cream, beat the cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually add tiny bits of the still liquid Jello to the cream cheese, beating well after each addition. If you add the liquid too quickly, you'll end up with a curdled mess. Gently fold in the whipped cream. Spread the mixture in a 10-inch glass pie plate; chill till set, several hours.
                Makes 8 servings
Do not freeze Per Serving: 304 Calories; 31g Fat; 6g Protein; 3g Carbohydrate; 0g Dietary Fiber; 3g Net Carbs
                Down 8.6 pounds and counting!

I use to make that, and forgot all about it. I'm sure Dom wouldn't mind.
Berries are not for induction though...that needs to wait.
ALso we use to make Clouds, it got me through my first induction. Hummm I wonder if I still have that recipe.
