    Good Morniong All!!

    As a New Yorker - but alas a Giants fan - I am rooting for the Jets today! I have invited some friends and family over for a game day Sunday dinner ... so in addition to swallowing my pride I will be swallwoing the following !! ==> Roast Sirloin Tip with Mustard-Cognac Sauce, Green Salad, fried shrimp LC style, caramelized brussel sprouts and caluliflower, low carb cheescake ...

    All lc except for the mashed potatos that I will of course skip !

      Good morning all! Welcome back atkins-si! I too will be rooting for the JETS today. As a Packers fan I was really hoping for a Jets/Packers superbowl because those are the two teams that Favre has tried to stick it to. It also hurts my soul to be a Cowboys fan today.

      Most importantly, the results of my Dreamfields experiment are in....I will call it inconclusive. I was not a loser today, I was actually up .4 pounds. While that's an insignificant amount and could be attributed to excess sodium, it is out of character for me. I also noticed some intestinal discomfort last night and a wee bit of gas. After a lot of thought, there may be something to this stuff, but my body treated it like a sugar alcohol. I don't do sugar alcohols well. I can't endorse it for us trying to lose weight, but it is a possibility for the maintenance phase. I'm not tossing the rest of the box, but it'll be buried deep in the pantry for later in life.

      Atkins-si - After 14 days of induction, you can't possibly know that your CCLL is 10-15 carbs. If anything that low amount of carbs will make you feel like crap and slow your progress. If you would like your menu reviewed, post it and we'll give it a quick once over. From what you've posted so far, something has my spidey senses tingling. Also, try the cauliflower mashed potatos. I hate vegetables with a passion and I can't really tell the difference between those and the real thing.

          Hi -

          Thaks for the menu review offer ... I will take you up on that ! ... the reason I know my CCLL is from experience ... as recent as last year ... I absolutley stall above 20 carbs ... I loose weight around the 10 to 15 range with occassionally tolerable spikes to 20 ... when I had my GTT the doc was very disturbed by my insulin resistance which was charting off the map ... I am very carb sensitive ... I am not diabetic but my fasting glucose is usually 100 or just under ... so I need to nip that in the bud NOW ...

          Mashed cauliflower sounds great ... I think I will try to do that rather than just roast ... thanks for reminding me !

            Good Morning!

            I had one applejack last night... and it sent me instantly into a craving... crazy, but I didn't give in.

            I did have a Captain and diet coke last night after work, but I'm still in ketosis, I already checked... but it made me wake up bloated... my rings were all tight, it was weird.

            I work later today, just being lazy until then... probably making some breakfast in a minute here... and re-reading DANDR. I love that wonderful book

                Good Morning everyone, Getting the boys ready for church then we will stop by Krogers (oh how I love that store) and stock up for the week. Back home to watch some football and do laundry. Most of the housework was done yesterday YAY . Now I am going to find a great recipe off of Linda's site to try today.                   Here and on plan, back down to 207.2 today, but I am bound and determined to see a new lower number this week, so wish me luck! Rain here today, so I think the agenda is finishing up some housework I didn't get to yesterday and working on my latest piano piece and maybe a little Wii if the housework doesn't wear me out. Have a great day all!

                      I'm up before noon! Yippee! Not much on the agenda today...extra water and extra Wii Fit to compensate for yesterday, but I honestly don't feel bloated or anything so I have probably not done much damage...No more social happenings beyond my control at least until departure for vacation...Just the one supper that I already have planned for !!!                           Here. I can hardly get 1200 calories a day down, I need to eat more. On track other than that. A wonderful 71 degrees already, windows and doors wide open.

                            Eat the same, but add some fat to up the calories. A few tablespoons of olive oil or extra butter will add the fat you need.

                              Here and on plan, been on plan just haven't posted in a while. Been busy. I typically come here when I feel cravings for some bad stuff I can't have. Today has been a bad day so far. Pizza goes with football playoffs, like fish to water so I'm craving these things.

                              However the Vikings are winning so far, so I'm ok. I would like to see Favre get another ring.

                              Edited to add that I have no idea what my weight is, I've been staying off the scale as much as possible. However my clothes are much looser and shirts and sweat shirts that used to be tight now hang on me
