  • help after the holidays!

    So I’m not really sure where to start! You see I ‘had’ lost 18 pounds during
    8-09 and 11-09 – AND then the holidays hit – we bought a house – and there was mounting stress at work – so I am now back to where I was!! I am so sad about this but then this morning on the way to work I stopped and bought donuts (I told myself it was to share with everyone at the office – after I had my fill!) SO I must not be that sad about it!
    I have been reading this forum stuff for a while and I LOVE reading about ALL your stories it really is inspiring! I know this Atkins DOES work! I just need to get back into it!! We are now in our new house (boxes everywhere) and I got the stress taken care of at work and ALL my family has left after the holidays! So you see I should be able to start this again! So why haven’t I?!?!?!
    I just like to eat when I am stressed! I hate that about me – I need to have power over this fault of mine! (I’m am working on it!)
    I guess I would just like some words of wisdom from ya’ll…. If you have fallen off – how did you get back into this?

      Im getting that ready now. I am on fitday trying to add up the food ! I don't know why that is so hard for me!

        Plan, plan, plan is the key, and do your best to stay within the rules, no matter how stressful things are.

        Figure out what your triggers for stress-eating are, and find new ways to cope. I know it sounds easier said than done, but that's the same thing you do when you quit smoking (I'm not an emotional eater, but I was a smoker, once), and that's ultimately the only way to be successful long-term.

          thank you ! I shopped last night - on track today! and I have gotten a diary and now I will write down my feelings and maybe this will help with the stress triggers.
