    Today ends the mini vacation in PA & I'm protesting loudly. Why does fun time go by so quickly??? Boarding a jet back to reality this afternoon & then have to drive 2 hours to get home. Hopefully I'll be able to see some of the later football game.

    Morning folks. Here checking in for the day. I'm still at 169, but my waist is still down to 36. I made bacon and eggs and sausage (sausage for my husband) but I think my eggs are a little too much bacon fatty tasting. So I'm going to dump the oil the next time I cook em'.

    Ugh, tonight we've been invited to a house warming and they are serving spaghetti. Ugh, why that? Pasta is like the worst offender. I don't even like pasta all that much. In fact if I never ate it again for 20 years I wouldn't be upset.

      Beautiful sunny day in Quebec once again...I found my recipe for ginger seasoned wings, so sounds like that will be the plan with football!! Go Colts Go!!! (Hope I haven't made too many ennemies!!!) I am really bad at predictions anyways...

        Now those sound good, could you share the recipe? I LOVE ginger.

        Here on plan. Feel a bit fatigued, probably from exercising too late last night and going to bed. Going to go fix breakfast, and if the wind stops blowing, go for a walk.

          Hello STACers! I'm here and on plan. Back down to the 206's today, but not quite to my low. I'm focusing on drinking extra water, and avoiding sodium, sweeteners and cheese today. For dinner tonight we're having pork steaks, and I'm going to try out my homemade low carb barbque sauce for the first time. I hope its good, I've been missing bbq sauce with my pork. Have a great day!

          2nd Goal ~ 174 No longer obese
          3rd Goal ~ 150 In the home stretch
          Final Goal ~ 145 or below (I'll know when I get there) No longer overweight

            2 garlic cloves, smashed and chopped
            2 tbsp chopped fresh ginger
            2 tbsp soy sauce
            ¼ cup lemon juice
            1 tsp Tabasco or hot sauce
            1 tbsp wine vinegar
            ½ cup olive oil
            2 lb (900g) chicken wings, cleaned
            salt and pepper


            This recipe is for the bbq but I will bake/broil at 450°

            Combine garlic, ginger, soy sauce, lemon juice, hot sauce, vinegar and oil in large bowl, season with pepper.

            Place wings in bowl and marinate at least 1 hour in fridge.

            Grill 12 to 15 minutes turning often and basting generously. Season with salt and pepper if necessary.

              Good afternoon. Just back from camping with the cub scouts. I brought emergency food, but didn't need it. They made "egg mcmuffins" which were fine w/o the muffin. Sandwiches (corned beef, ham or tuna) worked well w/o the bread. Dinner was white lasagna, but I picked the cheese and chicken and that was fine along with a salad. I lost 1.5lbs there without being hungry!

                        Well I'm back. I had some of the spaghetti (a very tiny amount, not even 1/3 a cup), and I had salad. I'm glad I ate before the get together though, because if I had been starving I would have eaten way more just because I was hungry. I'm still in OWL though, and I don't think I'm going to go back to induction unless I gain a ton of water weight. Even then I'll only do 3 days or so to get back into ketosis and then continue on to OWL.

                        So I know pasta is not my trigger. I had no cravings for carbs. Unfortunately I know what my trigger is.........mashed potatoes. It is my weakness. I know it is. I can eat french fries (4 for carbs) but mashed potatoes I can eat 3 servings in a sitting everyday 3 times a day. Ugh. I so love them. That's going to be my hardest challenge. I can see it.
