    Hey everyone! It's a brand new week and tomorrow is weigh-in! I am mad at myself because I had chinese and my tummy is sticking out this morning...must have been something in the veggies and seafood. Anyways...I will have extra water today to flush out the sodium and do some extra Wii Fit! Have a great day everyone!

    Good morning. Up a pound and I think it's because I went out for wings and they tasted a little salty.

    Speaking of salt, does it only cause water retention or does it affect actual fat? I always thought it only affect water, but I've read some things here that make it sound otherwise.

      Same here guys. I had chicken nuggets in pork rinds yesterday..way too much salt and didn't drink enough water. Back at it today. Gonna drink as much water as I can today.

        Good Morning everyone! I am back after a brief hiatus. I had a few cheats over the weekend, but I am ready to correct that this week. I went on a two day hiking vacation and fell off plan a little bit due to necessity. I have cooked for the week and am still very dedicated.

        I noticed that the "New Years need to lose a few pounds" crew has left us. I sent PM's to some of the folks that seemed pretty dedicated, but have not heard back from them. I think they're gone.

        My mom is visiting from Wisconsin, so we spent the weekend hiking. We probably averaged 8 miles a day. I didn't lose anything, but I think that I am retaining water due to working out. I should be losing some this week.

        Sheepie, I have never noticed sodium affecting my fat loss, usually just water retention. After a few days I usually notice a nice loss if I lay off the salt. Good luck with that.

          Good Morning! I am on day 12 of induction and have been sticking to the acceptable foods list. I occasionally smell the twinkie I unwrap for my son or stare at the corn tortillas, but am proud of myself for not going further than that. I am down to 171 from 178. I need to concentrate on drinking more water and excersise.

                I too had oriental food last night so may be dealing with salt issues. Tummy is sticking out this morning and was wondering why. Didn't think about the salt. Will get some water in to wash it out. Weigh-in is tomorrow and I don't expect good results. Too many cheats lately. Hoping to ramp things up so I can meet my mini goal by my birthday in February.
                Really tired this morning. Busy weekend...could've used one more day to recoup!

                  Well good morning guys! I am SO glad that the little pasta I had didn't send my weight straight up to the moon. I'm down 168.5, which is a 1/2 less than yesterday. I'm drinking tons of water and back on track.

                  I was trying to think about what my triggers are and realized I have another major trigger if left alone in my house....tortilla chips, or tortilla anything. The crispy light taste will send me over the edge. I can eat four homemade crunchy tacos in a sitting.

                  But other than me making my eat very rarely list, I am glad to see that everyone is doing good!

                    Here and on plan, still dancing around the 206's, just can't seem to break to the 205's, but I'll move forward, I'm just happy its where it is now and not where it was 5 months ago. Have a great day all!

                      I'm doing well. Still on track, even though it seemed like EVERYONE was trying to sabatoge my efforts yesterday during the football games.

                      I also passed on going out Saturday night, which have surely would have led to a few Jack n Diet Cokes and who knows what else...

                        Hey Polar Bear, I just noticed in your siggy "Eventually, I'd like to join the Century Club", you don't have to wait, its for people who want to loose a 100 or more pounds, not just those that have done it already. Its a great group I wouldn't want you to miss out!

                          Happy Monday everyone.... Today is weigh in day, and I'm down 2 more pounds . I still can't believe how easy this WOE has been this time. I'm at such peace with it.

                          Hey Barb, I might have to change my goal so I can come over to the Century Club (Actually I probably do need to lower it, but we'll see). I visit it often just cause it's such a fun group. .

                          Silly hint that works for me when trying to avoid foods that smell great and tempts me.... a little dab of mentholatum under the nose does wonders.

                              OH, TJ.....you soooo funny!! Yeah, I just saw your post now! I can say this though....there's a LOT less jiggle and way more sexy wiggle when I DO dance around the house! I can think of one person who would be very upset if I start posting videos of me dancin' on the site. I can hear it now.......

                              (Although....I do have a get out of jail free card and a free pass to do whatever I please for at least a year, come to think of it!)
