Week #5 - 4.6 lb loss ! after gaining in week #4!

  • Week #5 - 4.6 lb loss ! after gaining in week #4!

    I dropped 4.6 lbs. this past week after gaining in week #4 ... so I am very satisfied ... didn't get to do my walking routine and today doesn't look good as we are getting major snowfall here in the NE ... but i will be shoveling out later (well shovel the steps, snowblowing the rest!) ... but it is still a bit of a workout ...

    i forgot to add ...

    ... some things that i think are helping me this time around are:

    - drinking 8+ glasses of water
    - 1 splenda daily (occassionally 2-3)
    - no diet sodas
    - no processed anything
    - no fear of eating fats
    - if hungry I eat a protein/fat snack
    - limit cheese (and do not eat daily)
    - exercise
    - no caffeine (after week #2 I added .5 or 1 cup of regular coffee once or twice a week)

    ... and the most effective change for me this time around after many failed repeat attempts at atkins appears to be that i changed from net carbs counting to just carb counting ... i know ADBB is basically hard core net carb but i have to say - for me at least - now that i am focusing on carbs (like in 72 version) i am doing better than ever ... YMMV of course ...

      Good for you!

      My plan is to meal plan and so far it is working! It is so helpful to have a plan!
