  • Starting Again

I had been doing so good for about 4 years now on the Atkins. I went from 215 down to 145. Then this past summer and right up to Christmas I went up to 170 pounds. I had been in a size 7-8, gave away my big pants, and now I need them back. That is very depressing. Still kept my gym membership and am still going. Still doing low carb but with bingeing on Friday nights. Have been thinking about starting induction again for the second time but trying to find a good time to start is a difficult one. There still is no unhealthy high carb foods in the house, it's just stopping at the grocery store to pick up a salad and then I end up in the ice cream isle to buy yogurt ice cream. Well it's time to start again and I'll be keeping a journal on what I eat and what exercises I've been doing. Wish me luck!

        Re: Starting Again

So you fell down a few times.
Tis okay...just brush off and get back up.
Tell yourself, "Friday binging is off limits until I lose this weight!"....then when you get there, talk yourself out of binging at all..LOL.

I am journaling everything I eat and also my excercise and it REALLY helps. So good luck! You have the power!

          Re: Starting Again

The good news is that the 25 Lbs you've gained over the last few months would've been on top of your original weight, so you're in a better position to get back on track now.

The bad news is that there is no good time to start. It took me a couple of years and I sky rocketed right past my previous high, before I found the "right time". It truely is amazing that every stinking month there is a reason or two to "celebrate" and not eat healthy. Very difficult indeed.

Trust me, ya don't want to make the same mistake I did. It's a long way down from here.

          Best of luck to ya!

            Re: Starting Again

So have been really good so far this week, three days, no snacking. Going to the gym, trying out T-Zone Vibration Fitness (I got a free pass) and have lost 5 pounds. Hopefully it'll keep going this way
