    Good morning STACers! We've been missing a couple of regulars, hope they have just been too busy to check and not fallen off plan.

    On Friday I started Chantix to try and quit smoking again. One of Chantix's side effects is said to be nightmares, well I had mine last night. I dreamed I ate a giant Snickers bar and then to make matters worse, I tried to justify that it was okay because it had peanuts and I am on rung 3 I don't really want a Snickers bar, and if that's as bad as the nightmares get, I can hang with it. Although I am starting to wonder about a few things I've read. I always thought people only gained weight when they quick smoking because they were shoving junk in thier mouths in place of the cigs, but I read some articles last night that seem to think that your metabolism actually slows down for about 6 months once you quit smoking until your body adjusts to not having the stimulant. Anybody have any experience with that?

    Off to man another cookie booth. Have a great day all!

    A Snickers nightmare? LOL! That's not too bad and I hope that's it.

    Yesterday at Walmart I bought a mini trampoline. I hate to exercise just to exercise. It needs to be fun. I like bike riding and roller blading, and this trampoline looked like fun. I haven't assembled it yet and I hope I don't hurt myself. It has a little counter to keep track of jumps and calories. I hope I can keep the kids off of it.

        Horrors - Snickers nightmares.....
        I wonder if the "studies" are based on "Normal" eating plans? and not a low carb lifestyle. I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't take a few weeks for your body to adjust, since it will take a while to purge the nicotine from your body (not to mention the psychological addiction), But if you keep to a clean eating plan, I would think it would make it a bit easier to get through it.

        BTW - I envy you the Chantix - I cold turkey'd it in '85 and it was horrid!

        Sheepie, let us know how you enjoy the mini-trampoline. Sounds like it could be fun.

              late today. not sleeping well. had a rough day today. remembered to count my water for the challenge. almost forgot to post it.

                Even tho it's monday I wanted to post to show I was on plan this weekend. I just was so busy. Don't have alot of online time. Still on plan and I think the scale is starting to move again but it's so slow and usually like .5 lb but I will take it. I hate that it fluctuates so much.
