  • This time I mean business!

I'm tired of being morbidly obese. For as long as I can remember, I've been big. By the time I was fourteen years old I weighed almost 250 pounds and wore size 28 jeans.

This time I'm serious about the weight loss. I'm restarting induction tomorrow. I've gone off and on diets most of my life, but if I'm being totally honest with myself, I've never been ready to lose the weight. I'm finally at a point mentally where I've said "enough is enough." I know a low-carb diet works for me, but every time I get going into ketosis I end up sabotaging myself by eating junk food!

This time is going to be different! I've gotten rid of all the junk food in my apartment (I live alone so meals won't be a problem), and I've started working out. I bought myself a Wii and have since become addicted to Wii bowling and baseball. I will keep you all updated and let you know my progress!

You and me both buddy! I lost 35lbs last year, then I was in a car wreck and got depressed...gained it all back. I am 39yo and 270 right now. This biggest thing that is affecting me is the sleep apnea is back and my BP is high. I HAVE to get this right this time. The main problem I have is that I am single, with NO support from my friends here where I live. They are good people, but they don't motivate me at all. Every bit of strenght has to come from me. It's hard because certain foods are like cigarettes to some people. We can do it though!!!!
