  • Back again...

    Hi there~

    There's some info about where I am in my sig, but I'm back to ADBB after a 2.5 year absence during which I had a baby and then just didn't do much to address my weight. Luckily (and magically!) the baby weight came off almost immediately, and I'm finding myself basically at the exact same weight I was when I left here. I've messed around with some other weight-loss methods in the meantime, which worked temporarily, but I know that Atkins is the best fit for me: I find it the easiest and most enjoyable to follow, I love that I don't have to track every little thing that I eat as long as I stick to what's OK, and, most importantly, it definitely works for me.

    Having my daughter has definitely made this something I want to address while she's still very young so that I can keep up with her and be a better example as she grows up. I'm also taking some prereq courses for a nursing degree, so I'm hoping that by the time my actual program starts (approx 2 yrs) I'll be at a healthy weight and ultimately a more believable nurse!

    I'm so thankful for this site for support and inspiration as I start on this path again.

    Had a baby almost 2 years ago but still have as much to lose as I did before she arrived... But before I got preggo I lost 22 lbs doing Atkins, so it's time to get back on track!

    Start (4/26/10): 254.2/Current (5/10/10): 248/Goal: 150
    Week 1 loss: 4.4 lbs; Week 2 loss: 1.8 lbs

    1st goal: 240

      Welcome back...I am doing the same thing....First time I lost 45pds in 2.5 months. I know the second, third 4th time gets harder so I had better do it...I look forward to getting to know you and we have similar weight to lose...I will check in and make sure you are doing okay daily...Great Start!

        Welcome back -- nice to see another person from right around where I live here on the board. (I'm in St Charles county but close to St Louis).

        Re-read the book so you are following the plan correctly. Drink plenty of pure water daily (64oz minimum), take a vitamin and exercise. Congrats on having your daughter and on going back to school.

        Ask questions, start a journal and enjoy everything about Atkins!
