Me... I'm on plan, sore from wrestling with implements on the tractor. Not to mention rototilling the garden (my 8 HP rear tine tiller) for about 3 hrs yesterday. Ugh.... where does THAT fit into my challenges. Heading outside to try and hold onto the beast again today as we're "supposed" to have thunder storms Sunday and want to get it done.

Having a so-so day. Didn't really get a whole lot done, just kinda hung out and watched a movie. Really just in a blah mood, ordinarily I would have fed the blah mood with high carb foods, nope not today. Tonight is a fish and chips with some friends at the Elks Club, I think I'm just going to tell them I'm not a big fan of battered fish (which really I'm not) and that I'm trying to avoid an upset tummy with the french fries (Lord knows that would definitely happen if I ate french fries at this point). It's not that these friends are unsupportive, I have just failed so many times at every "diet" I have ever gotten excited about, Atkins is different, I'm a little more protective of it because it truly is a change in lifestyle, not just a diet.
I WILL learn to feel comfortable in my own body again!

Hey guys, checking in. I was on plan until my husband's birthday. I had a very thin slice of chocolate mousse cake. While it tasted good it was very sweet. I didn't get cravings for another slice, but I can't wait to get to maintenance so I can make a smart choice like eating a very small sliver of something sweet. I'm still at rung 6 and as far as I can tell, I can really only eat a very small serving of red kidney beans. I also have to be sure I have fat and protein or I either gain weight, or hold onto water.
Black beans are good. I don't seem to have that reaction when I eat them. Next up for me is pinto beans. Refried beans are next after that. Maybe I can eat the beans as a mash instead of whole beans. Well I'll see soon enough. Oh yeah, and I'm down to 153. I can fit into all of my pants, but the size 6 is giving me a bit of a muffin top. So I know I have a ways to go. But I'm getting there.
