I lost 40 pounds previously on lowfat diet (pure **** on earth) and 80 pounds on atkins (not hungry and felt wonderful the whole time). I am now at my permanent goal weight of 275 am in the gym regularly again and would say I am in VERY good shape (I can see my belt buckle without sucking in!)!
I could not ever have done this so quickly without Atkins it is a wonderful program and my cholestorol levels and blood pressure went down so significantly I no longer have to take the lisopril I was on.. My doctor is very happy.
I currently now am on a reduced carb/no sugar maint. No potatoes or sweets here.. Although I do have bran flakes for breakfast to keep things regular as flaxseed didnt really do it for me.. I have not changed much from my induction menu and have learned so much from being here..
If I get a digital camera or find the time or ambition to have someone convert a few pictures over to digital for me I will (I live in the stone age still hehe)
