  • Started, stopped, Stalled

I think reading this forum has caused a revelation for me. I used to take sever supps, LCarnitine, CQ10, EFAs, Basic3, Chromium. I stopped taking them about 3 weeks ago and have not lost any weight since. I am in the gym EVERYDAY for an hour or more in the zone and sweating like a pig. I am disciplined on the ATkins. Still no significant loss and no inches down either. I am going to go back on the supss this week to see if I get a change of some kind. I am so frustrated. I have been at this since Feb 26. I started at 310lbs and am down to 279.5. I absolutely shoudl be down more than that by now. I do not have unrealistic goals. I am giving myself 18 months to lose the wt. It took me less than a year to put it on after the birth of my son.

I consulted with a personal trainer who mentioned cortisol to me. Can you guys give me some idea as to what supps might contain this or if it is even helpful to take it. I am so willing to do whatever it takes to lose this weight and keep it off. I want to be Fit and 40. Not Fat and Forty.

    Thanks for your help.

Simone, If i were you I would post this over on the vita nutrient forum if your asking about the supplements. Also, although I think your doing well,
30 pounds in 6 months is nothing to sneeze at, this WOE does have hesitation points for most of us. I had a 6 week stall last summer, and felt much lie you do now, but I kept after it and one day dropped 5 pounds and the following week 5 more.
It may be supplements, but if I were you, I would post a few days meals and have the experts check it out for you. Sometimes they see what you can't

I want to say Congratulations on how far you have come. I keep hearing that it takes a while for your body to adjust to weight loss. Your fat cells replace lost fat with water and it may take months for the fat cells to release the water, making your weight go down.

You may want to keep track of your measurements esp. if the scale isn't moving. You may be losing inches and not scale weight.

Good Luck and keep up the good work!!!
