  • Cloth Shopping? Me?

Well I never thought I would enjoy shopping for clothes but today I did. I've always been pretty big so shopping in regular stores didn't work out too well I ended up in the big and tall section or searching for that one pair in my size that I didn't like the look of. Today I had to buy some new jeans since the ones I were wearing literally fell off me as I tried to put them on today. I've lost around 48 pounds since I started in May on the 13th. I was wearing a 2XL shirt and a size 44" in jeans.

Today I was trying on jeans and I started with a 40" well that didn't work, I put on a 38" and it fit a little loose so I stuck with that, the 36" fit but I didn't like the tightness (maybe another month :guns). So than I got brave and headed over to where the shirts were, i've been wearing XL's which fit but are a little loose so I grabbed a Large and prayed for the best, well i'll be damned, I put it on and it was loose on me, happy with that I left for the first time enjoying shopping where I could pick altmost anything off the rack and find it in my size.

        Fun fun fun!!!!

I hate shopping too, right now I'm sorta in between sizes so I just get by w/ about 5 outfits that I mix and match for work and then huge t-shirts and stretchy pants for nites and weekends--can't wait til I can go and buy a smaller size!

That's cool. I always hated shopping cause there were like 10 things I could choose from instead of the whole store. I'm hoping to choose form everything soon. Good job

I've picked up a few more things everytime I go into a store but I'm starting to notice the opposite effect now everything is XL and XXL when before I could never find my size. :raving It never ends does it haha. :nod

I was just wondering how long it took you to get down there by being on the diet? If you replied that would be great, and thanks!

Hi RedKoolAid. Funny you mentioned my stats because I was just getting ready to change it. When I started Atkins on June 1st, I weighed 145. That was my weight per the scale at the doctor's office. I then bought my own scale so I can track my weight loss at home. After the first week of induction, I lost 5 pounds. From there on, the weight seemed to come off really fast which finally brought me down to 124. Or so I thought.

Well the other day I was at a friend's house. Her scale said I was actually at 130 lbs. Pissed me off. hehe.. So I bought another new scale and it confirmed that I really am at 130 and not 124 like I thought! grrrr!! I even went to my neighbor's house and tried her scale and it said 130. I was a little disappointed but in reality, a 15 pound loss since June 1st is really not bad at all, considering I didn't have a whole lot of weight to lose in the first place. They say that weight loss is slower if you don't have much to lose. By the way, my broken cheapo scale still says 124. And let me tell you how obsessed I am/was with the scale. I went to Target last night and weighed myself on a scale that was open. I took my shoes off and my watch, and it said 130. hehe..

I've been stewing over this scale mishap but I'm ok now. lol.. I have never felt this good in my life and this way of eating definitely works for me. So I'm not letting this stupid little scale fiasco discourage me. One good news is I weighed myself this morning and I'm down to 129. I more pound lost! Woohoo! When I first started this way of eating, I was wearing size 9/10 tight, 11/12 comfortably. My weight always seemed to go to my waist whenever I gained. Now I can wear size 7/8 with ease without holding my gut in. So I have no reason to complain! I still can't friggin believe it. More important than the weight loss, I don't ever remember feeling this good in my life and it continues to amaze me everyday. If I stay at 129, I won't whine anymore.

Good luck RedKoolAid. How are you doing so far?
