I havent posted on this part of the website in a long time. I thought today would be good day.
Tomorrow is "Fat Tuesday" as most of ya'll know. WHich started my journey a year ago. Of course the dates are different this year etc. but it's still the same to me. I never in a million years would of thought that I would of made it this far in a years time.
I started this journey at 226 there about and wearing a size 20 or a 22. I am now currently in a size 10 or a 12 in things.
I started on strict induction and stayed on extended induction until November of last year. Stayed under the 20 carbs a day and walked everyday around 2 miles with 5 lb weights in my hands. In July 05 i decided i would try running. I would run the straights and walk the corners at my local track. I thought there is no way that I will every become like some of these runners out here (at the track). I continued and in November I started running my 2 miles everyday. I continued to see about a 2 lb or so every other week loss until i hit where i am now. The last part of my journey is still not over and i'm still striving hard to reach goal which i know i will.
I knew that it would take a while to reach goal and acutally am glad that it has. This WOE has changed my life, my family, my friends etc.
I ran my first 5k Marathon in January 06 and did pretty good for a fresh starter. I just completed running my first 10K this past weekend in the pouring rain! http://w3.conocophillips.com/RodeoRu...il.aspx?rn=459 There is a video if you would like to see. I'm the gal in the green shirt. I did well considering the weather conditions.
I just wanted to post this for those of ya'll that are reading that anything is possible. Just look at me. Read the book. Come to these boards everyday and post questions and get support. It's been a lifeline for me even though lately i've been kinda mia. I still read everyday and post when I can.
Now...to the reason for posting. I am determined to finish up and get to goal by summer. I am a catholic and last year i vowed to stay on strict induciton as my lenten promise which i will do again this year. Last year when i did that i got to 200. Which was awesome considering that lent is only 6 weeks.
I will be around alot for the next 6 weeks and getting the rest of the weight off....as long as it takes! Thank you all for your support and for those of you that are just starting YOU CAN DO IT.... just look at me!
I will do it!

Ok, just kidding, I still need to find out what I'm going to give up... perhaps I'll give up some of those exercise free minutes when I get lazy? That sounds good.
