  • First mini-goal achieved!

After a six month period of progessively more blatant cheating, I re-started induction on August 1. They say induction flu is worse the second time around, and I believe it!

But 6 1/2 weeks in, it's all been worth it. I'm feeling wonderful again, full of energy. And this week the whoosh fairy arrived for an extended stay. I hit my first mini-goal a week and a half ahead of schedule. Whoo-hoo!

And I've learned I just can't handle diet soda and still lose weight...even the spenda-sweetened stuff. It just triggers cravings for me.

I only have five pounds left to go now, and I'm going to have to be disciplined about leaving induction and resign myself to the fact that it's going to go reallyyy slooowwwwly from now on. I'm giving myself to the end of the year to hit my final goal.

But first I'm going to head over to Switzerland next week to backpack for ten days and eat lots and lots of fabulous cheese!
