Guess what snuck up on me this morning?

133 lbs BAY BEE! 63 lbs gone forever. Took me 6 months, by choice, to lose the post baby 30. Size 14/16 or XL to a 4/6 or S. Two years since I started Atkins this week, 16 months of those pg or nursing and eating crap though.
No more crap for me. Makes me sick and fatigued, first of all. Makes me too bloated feeling to eat the good stuff my body needs. Doesn't taste as good as I remember (usually).
I did work up all the rungs and tried LOTS of different foods as I went. I get terribly blood sugar/pseudo hunger swings from peanuts. Not all nuts though. I also need to eat higher GI fruits w/a meal, not as dessert or snack, or the same thing happens. I found my CCCL, and it's PLENTY high. Not if I want bread or dessert with every meal, but plenty of whole grains, fruits, beans, and even starchy veggies.
Funny thing about starchy veggies, if you stick too a true reasonable portion size, they are NOT that many carbs! Of course, compared to a cucumber they are, but as far as your whole day goes, they are just a normal percentage...if your body can handle them.
But really I used to LOVE potatos, LOVE them. Now...they really are just a carrier for the butter. And french fries? Ick. Total Ick. Taste like grease covered cardboard. I'll skip those every time now. They still smell really good though
I've learned, along with so many here, the real secret is that your tastes change, eating whole unprocessed foods taste better and make me feel great.
