    8 POUNDS DOWN !!!!!

Ok so 8 pounds isn't anything impressive compared with the 50+, 100+ and 150+ low-carb success stories, BUT ....

IT MEANS SOOOO... SO MUCH TO ME!

I've been overweight and trying to diet for 30 years. Every so-called "healthy eating", low fat, high-fibre, calorie-counting diet and exercise plan diet has been torture and led to bouts of starving and bingeing and self hate, and weight GAIN until I reached 329 pounds.

When the little printout popped out of the machine at the sports centre this morning and I saw that I have lost 8lb I just stood there and wept tears of relief because this is the most weight I have lost in 30 years.

I then celebrated by indulging in two-and-a-half hours of water aerobics and walking a mile!

There is no stopping me now! I'm on my way!

    ATKINS WORKS!

Helena that is fantastic - 8 pounds is alot to lose!! My weight comes off very slowly also - I get excited when the scales moves a quarter of a pound!!

And 2 and a half hours of excercise is quite an achievement - I only ever manage an hour!

Well done, I'm so pleased for you

Oh - Helena I took a leaf out of your book yesterday at the gym!!
When I use the 'spa bath' after working out I usually just sit there soaking in the luxury but last night I was there on my own as there werent many people there and I exercised while sitting there!!
For 5 minutes while the bubbles frothed around me I kicked my legs open and closed, crossing them in front of me very vigorously and my thighs really felt they had done an extra workout!! I thought about you doing your water exercises while I was doing this!

I also did some situps while in the sauna!
