  • "Diabesity" & losing weight -- help!

Hi, I've roused thru the topics and haven't seen this one addressed. I AM NOT diabetic, but one of those women that is on my way if I don't do something about it - all my fat is in the middle. I've had a hard time coming to terms with Atkins approach since it goes against everything I've ever been taught...so here's where I need help. I tried this once before, and didn't lose anything (but also didn't gain). I'm now on day three and hoping so see results.

Is there anyone else in my situation that has some enlightenment? Did you lose weight? is it just slower? do you have any advice to kick start it? how about drinking protein drinks?

I really would appreciate any and all advice!!

Follow the DANDR induction chapter 11 rules and do the required mandatory exercise part of your Atkins program for 14 days and then see if you need tweaking. SOme people start out slow and come on like gangbusters other start fast and slow down.

Post a few days of the food you are eating the exercise you are doing and all the fluids you are drinking so we can see if you are doing a propper induction or not.

Atkins is a ketogenic plan it is high fats not proteins you don't want to add a protein shake to your paln as proteins are converted to sugar ib the liver and that could wreck your ketosis.
