I am so impressed. You are the exact reason that I continue with this Way of Life. You inspire me. Look at you, with your blue jeans on and your shirt all tucked in!! Way to go.
149.8/no weigh/ 119
1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
what the rungs mean to me:
rung 1 - more veggies
rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
rung 4 - berries, melon
rung 5 - wine -
rung 6 - beans, hummus
rung 7 - other fruits
rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...) Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
(on to pre-maintenance)
Ummm...about the shirt being tucked in...not my best choice...I actually had a blazer on and took it off because it was so warm....BUT, let me tell ya, the fact that I can fit in those darned jeans (love those levis), zip them up WITHOUT LAYING ON THE BED , and actually walk in them was a WONDERFUL feeling...
FYI, since I posted, I lost 5 more lbs...I'm down to 179...YES I DID weigh, reweigh, rereweigh, etc. to verify I'm under 180!!!!

IT'S NOT WHAT I'M GIVING UP, IT'S WHAT I'M GETTING!
Shannon, unfortunately, I've found that there is nothing wonderful about 'having' to lose weight. I let myself get out of shape, out of hand, and spiralled out of control due to infertility issues. I take full responsibility for how I was. What is wonderful, I think, is the fact that I'm now taking control of my life, not letting food control me and my life.
I am the same person that I was at 260 lbs EXCEPT that I have more energy to keep up with my life. AND, I think that energy radiates into other aspects of my life as well. I have more stamina with my kids and home life. I have more energy to appreciate the good life we've built. I had more energy to get thru the 2 tumors I had removed in November and then again in August. I have more energy to enjoy meals out with my girlfriends.
