  • I call this a success!

Hi all my old friends, and hello to all my new friends.

I am sure some of you thought I fell off the face of this earth, or perhaps just fell off the wagon. Neither is true!

I have been SO busy with life, we renovated and sold our house, and bought and renovated a new house
(ask me for before and afters, I have em' and am really proud)...

I have managed to keep off the weight, by following what I learned about myself and how I react to different foods.
I also run on the treadmill (who would have thought THAT) 4-10 miles a week.

My hubby hasn't been so lucky. He didn't gain it ALL back (he lost 45 and gained back 30), and I say that is because he no longer eats sugar (4 sugars in his coffee, equaling 1/3 a cup a DAY) but switched to splenda and diet pepsi. What he DID do was started eating bread and potatoes again. He now knows where he went wrong, and is ALSO starting a re-induction with me. He was never a big junk food eater, but loves his burgers/fries and pizza.

Eating low-carb is really easy for me. I LOVE everything I eat, and rarely miss the things that made me fat anymore.
It is just a Way Of Life that (luckily) I don't even have to think about.

I have been spending the last few days on the board just reading and catching up... printing off some of my favorite induction recipes and just checking everyone out. I hope to get to play and offer up some advice to those who might need it again. I am very excited about this new start, especially now that I know how to KEEP IT OFF!!!

Good luck, and see you guys around!!

PS: i forgot to add, on Feb 7 of this year I will be 2 YEARS CIGARETTE FREE!

Welcome back! Great job maintaining! Unfortunately I am in the same boat as your husband, I have to lose the same weight I already lost once (or twice).
