  • First Goal met

I have been on the Atkins diet for 3 weeks and met my first goal of losing 20% (15lbs) of the weight I need to lose. I feel great and have not had this much energy in years. I have really been able to step up my exercising because of it. My wife has also been on the diet with me and she has lost 10 pounds about 40% of what she wants to lose. Giving up sweets has been the hardest part for both of us but so far so good.

I think we are ready to start OWL this week or next.

This is not easy but definetly possible. This website has been very helpful for me.

          Thanks everyone.
Yes having support of loved ones certainly helps a lot. I do not know how all of you who cook seperate meals for family members do it.

Congratulations on meeting your first goal! Alsot congrats to your wife for her losses.
You're making a good decision to move to OWL. You'll enjoy the added food choices and will still lose... particularly on rung one where some people lose even faster than they did in induction!
              Before and after:

              PLEDGING FLIGHTS
Completed: 1st set of buildings and mountains (Everest,M.Blanc & Kilimanjaro, twice); Tower Masts & Chimneys; More virtual buildings; Challenger's Choice x 2 (volcanos and mountains on Mars). Currently climbing: Mount Snowdon again: 416/475

Start 10 Jan 2005. Maintenance since Aug. 2005.
