  • Yippee De Doo Dah -12 Pounds Lost

Hi all you lovely Forum Buddies, I have just finished my first induction week and weighed myself this morning wearing the same clothes, I have lost 9 Pounds and I feel like My First Week of induction wasn't the drag that I thought it was going to be, in fact I have enjoyed myself, and think I may stay on the extended induction for a while to help shift the stubborn pounds.

Wishing you all a great week and lots of love and hugs,

    Helen- Aka Forever_Autumn87

      Woooo!
Well done Helen! That's a great loss.

I know just what you mean about expecting it to be a drag....and it's such a suprise when it isn't!!
I'm really excited about this journey I'm on and for once I feel in control! It's a fab buzz when cravings stop...When there's chocolate about(for example) I just turn it down without even thinking now....that was unheard of in the past!

Anyway...I wish you continued success! Keep strong! Log on here at every chance you get....it really is a great support system here.

YAY Helen!!! I think when you're in the right frame of mind about this WOE, it becomes ENJOYABLE! I am happy to say I'm in the same spot as you this time around, before I resented what I had to eat, this time I am embracing it, loving it, and losing better than ever. Hi Helen!
I bet with those 12 pounds gone you look a lot slimmer! Good job. Don't be afraid to move up to OWL...it's a lot more fun when you start adding food back in.

Re: Yippee De Doo Dah -12 Pounds Lost

Thanks Morning Glory and SandyL 2002, I feel a lot better than I did, I am determined to continue on the Induction phase for as long as I can in order to drop the weight. My Son is getting married on July 14 this year so I want to get down as far as I possibly can. He and his fiancee are due a baby on September 24 this year too. So a double reason for me to get slimmer and healthier.
I have been doing and to music and for once I am feeling in control of what I eat rather than the allowing food cravings to control me!
I am fed up with myself and feeling old, frumpy, and unfit.
This Time I truly mean business!

                    Thanks for your support.

This pic was in 2005, I weighed 372.

This was taken October 2007, I weigh 375.

I was on atkins last year in the early fall and lost about 30 pounds. I obviously gained it back...but I know this is the right diet for me as it works very good. So I am back!

Re: Yippee De Doo Dah - Only 9 Pounds Lost Guys, Not 12

                        Hi Guys and Gals,

first of all I have made a mstake with my first weight loss as my scales are completely wonky.

Anyway my original weight was 239 lbs weighed at the Doctors before starting this WOE, On mines I was 237 lbs so I based it on mine, and that is what I put in my weightloss ticker, however I have now got a new pair and they read the same as the doctors, so I am reverting back to that as my baseline, I was weighed again with him today and have lost 9 pounds in total.
and I am weighing the same with him as I do on my own!

So just to update my record with myself and with everyone else in the forum I think its best to be honest!!!!

I am still very pleased with my loss success on my first week of induction and to tell the truth it's more what I had expected.

I am now nearing the end of my second week, and will start doing my weight recording now on a Monday.

                        Helen

                          Great going Helen!
The scale number is just that... a number. The reality is what you've actually lost... and that the same whatever any scale says!
                          Good for you!
