Sorry to post so much here, but I'm happy about how this is going. Measured and weighed yesterday (day 14) and I've lost 13 lbs and 4.5". The part that amazes me is that 3 lbs and 3 inches were lost even though I had to eat atkins bars and shakes over the weekend while at a horse show. I was really worried about how those would affect me, but I figured it was better than most of the options I had. The burgers at the food stand were expensive and of questionable quality, so I only had "real" food at dinner. The hotel had boiled eggs, but they were the consistency of a superball *yuck*. I also failed to find deli meat of any kind without dextrose in it. But, I survived!

Being that I still have a fair bit to loose, I'm going to stay on induction for a while. I seem to be doing well and I'am satisfied with the meals. I'm going to play it by ear for now. Drop another 10 lbs before thinking about moving on. I may try adding nuts before my road trip, though. I'll probably need some kind of easy food on a week long adventure. I also need to read the chapters on phase II again and study a little more.
