    Oh my goshhh...

Okay so when I originally started Atkins three weeks and two days ago I had a pair of jeans that I have not been able to wear in years. One of my goals were to fit these jeans. Well its been three weeks and Ive lost 17lbs. However, this last week I have been at a stand still. I tried to see if my pants would fit in week two but they still would not button but at least they would go past my hips. So, here is week three no loss on the scale (starting to get really discouraged) but...My jeans are two big!! I have about two inches in the waist left over and they are practically falling off of me. How could this happen and I havent lost a pound this week. Well I measured and in one week no loss on the scale but a 4.5 inch loss. This is great!! Only I wish I would have gotten to wear the pants at least once. Oh, well I guess that part of becoming skinny!!! Doing the happy dance once again!!! Oh, and just in case someone dosn't know. If you have on demand which is through comcast cable, there are tons of in home cardio and exercise programs on there. I use the walk away the pounds video.

    Thanks!

    Congrats! That's really good
That's why we shouldn't rely so much on the scale.

I totally feel you about the pants.I had a size 22 pair of pants that were tight and maybe a month into Atkins.....too big. I though well hey maybe I just take them in....but it looked so flickted. I am wondering when the time comes will I be able to throw away my fat jeans and buy new ones. I am such a pack rat and have tone of clothes that are too big but I just cant let go. I have lost 37 lbs so far and I just dont know.......geez this could be a problem

                      Hey?

As one pack rat to another... go try everything on right now and if it's too big ... THROW IT AWAY!!!

Keeping it is a way to plan to fail.... if you don't keep the big stuff you are committing on a psychological and financial level to living this WOE for life. Sure keep a few pairs of comfy pants for that TOM.

Buy something in your new size... reward yourself.. You don't have to get a whole new wardrobe... but one or two new pieces combined with your old smaller sizes should make you feel special and worth the work...

WOW! Funny how that works out, you shrink, but don't feel it because you don't lose the pounds. Good for you!!! That should keep you motivated, now you have to buy some new jeans that will fit the NEW you!

Hey, I just discovered workout videos available for free on my "On Demand TV" with Verizon FiOS. I love the stuff they have, I just have to fit it into my schedule and everyone else's TV watching. We only have 1 TV with the whole DVR setup. I try not to let my kids watch too much of it, that's why there isn't a TV in every room.
