WAAAHOOO! After being on Atkins since May, I've lost 25lbs and am finally at GOAL! The funny thing is, I've lost the last couple of pounds on the grains rung....! I was stuck at 143 for the longest time, then I started adding one serving of grains (oatmeal for breakfast, 1 serving or whole grain rice, or 1 serving of low carb bread) every day or every other day and the 3 pounds disappeared!!! I think my body needed that extra boost.
My next challenge is exercise. I haven't exercised since we moved into our house in February because we moved away from my gym. I'm trying to get my hands on a treadmill and a set of weights (we live in a TINY town with no gym nearby) so I can start toning up at bit. I absolutely hate running outside, so in order for me to exercise, I know I need a treadmill! I wonder if I'll lose more weight when I start this (I'm 5'9.5 so 140 is perfect for me, actually I was happy with my body at 150 as well, not much of a difference since I'm tall) or if I'll gain weight because I'm gaining muscle? I guess we'll see! Anyway, I went from a size 12 in pants to a 6....any smaller and I'd look sick I think! I'm very happy with my results.
