Hi folks. Just an update. I'm 12 lbs. from my goal of 195 (what the charts say I should weigh for my height). It has really been slow since December. I've actually only lost 3 lbs. in the last 5 weeks but it was the holidays. People keep telling me I don't need to lose any more but I still have a little belly. Seems it is the hardest to lose. My arms, face, neck, legs are about as small as they can get without looking like a concentration camp resident. I've looked into how my maintenance will probably go but not real sure yet how it will. You see I'm also diabetic (in remission since May '06) and will never be able to eat the old way no matter what. I'm still walking 2 miles daily and really enjoy being a normal size person (first time since teens). Just a reminder I started in March of '07 weighing 287. My current weight is 207 but no one believes I weigh that much but the scales don't lie. I don't fret about ever going back to the old way of eating because I know that will never happen. It has had a big effect on many aspects of my life but especially attitude and overall happiness. When something bad happens all I have to do is remember what I have accomplished and a big grin pops out and I'm able to handle anything. Just wish everyone could learn what I have. I talk to anyone who ask about my weight loss and I know it has helped some but most just say "OH I could never do that". I tell them "YES YOU CAN". Thanks for the invite to report in and I'll try to make it NOT so long next time. Good luck to everyone and have a great '08.

you have done so well!
