  • 2nd day!

Hello, today is my second day on the induction phase of atkins. I had a little bit of a hard time yesterday (bad headaches all day) but today I already feel much better. I haven't really had any cravings and have a good amount of energy. I really miss my diet soda though. I am starting out at 165lbs and have a goal weight of 130lbs. I used to be a cheerleader and highschool and was actually a girl ontop of the pyramid. I would like to get back to that size. I have read many stories here and love how everyone is so supportive. I'll let you know my progress. Thanks!

    Re: 2nd day!

Congratulations on taking the steps to get healthy! Atkins is the only diet and way of eating that has worked for me! There have been times when I have wanted to just completely pig out and not give a care. I decided to make a decision and determined that not much would sway me. I started at 204 and felt sooooo gross. I was so jealous of people being able to go into a store and buy whatever size they wanted. My toughest days were centered around holidays but I made it through Easter and that was the ultimate.
Today I am almost down 30 pounds and feeling great. I have no regrets. The headaches are normal in the first couple of days but I clearly remember that burst of energy. I felt like I could climb a mountain. It was awesome! I encourage you to stay on course. Read as many posts as you can because they will encourage you and may even make you laugh. My fav is Mitzi marie. She is my inspiration!

Congratulations on getting started with the best thing you can do for your health. The first few days can be a challenge as all the junk leaves your body, but it does end and it's sooooo worth it.

        Good luck!
