Well I just thought I would post, what the heck. Hope I don't bore you all....
I reached goal somewhere around 7/31/03. It was exactly 2 months and 3 days after I started Atkins. I lost 25 pounds in that time period and who knows how many inches, although I wish I did have pre measurements.
I feel great and have more energy than ever. I was walking at lunch here and there when trying to lose the weight, but since have begun exercising EVERY day, and am in on Brook's exercise challenge (thanks for that by the way
)
But this whole change of life started long before Atkins, and I am not talking about any of the low-cal diets, but God knows I tried them all, this started with taking a look in the mirror and knowing that this is not what I was supposed to be.
To help myself I started to sorta pamper myself, because I didn't love myself, but desperately wanted to. I began doing more for myself, like buying some nice bubble bath and relaxing with some candles, getting all lotioned up afterwards, doing my hair and getting contacts. Little things that helped me like myself, and it really helped.
Since losing the weight I continue to stay 20-25 carbs per day, just to see if there are 4.5 more pounds that want to come off, but I dont' think so. With all my working out I actually gained .75 inches around each arm, and that is muscle folks.
But I am seriously scared of the Carb Monster, I just can't bring myself to increase my carbs, even though I feel I should at this point, to prevent boredom and JUST RELAX about the weight issue!
Now all I need to do is get some before and after pic's scanned to show you the proof! I'll get to it...eventually
