    read the book and the stickies in induction. stick to the foods on the list for the induction. Keep your carbs less than 20 grams a day. Have 3 cups of vegies a day. Drink 64 ounces of water a day. Take a multivitamin and omega 3 supplement. Get your measurements and check them once a month. Don't weigh your self more than once a week. Less if you can do it. Then read the book again. Ask questions and read the stickies.
    Started on 1-1-2009. Male, 6'2" and 35 years old.
    Starting weight 330, Goal weight 220

    My Reasons for loosing weight:
    to avoid diabetes, to avoid a heart attack, play with my kids without sucking wind, feel better, look better, and to enjoy life more.

    We moved and I quit eating right for June, July, August, and September.

      If you are serious about making a success of this program, you really must read the book to understand why it works and how to do it.

      Also, for a quick intro, read the Atkins Phases section of the board. That will answer many of your questions and give you a head start.

        Start by reading a lot of these threads. In particular, read the ones about Induction rules and foods allowed on Induction.

          follow the rules in the book and only stick to the veggies and proteins you are allowed in phase one dont try to cheat..you can do it ...
