44 lbs lost since january 19th

    I've lost 44 lbs since January 19th, 2009!

I'm so happy that I'm on track to getting into awesome shape for summer WELL before the summer months arrive. Thanks to this board and all the success stories I have read - that helped and continue to motivate me!!

Best part of Atkins for me is my desire to drink beer several times a week is basically gone. NO MORE BEER GUT !! Yippppeeeeee!!!
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING tastes better than THIN FEELS -- I owe it to myself, family and friends to be the best that I can be!!

Great job! Just think, this summer you won't have the extra weight to hound you. You'll be out there having fun!

Re: 44 lbs lost since january 19th

I started Jan 1 2009 and I have only lost 18 pounds. You are doing awesome. Enjoy it. Stick with it. If you ever gain it back, it will be harder to loose the second time around. Have you been doing the extendend induction or have you moved up the OWL rungs? What are you doing for supplements? Are you working out? Obviosly our bodies are responding differently. I am just curious to see if there is something that you are doing that is making such a difference. I wish I could loose like you have.
Started on 1-1-2009. Male, 6'2" and 35 years old.
Starting weight 330, Goal weight 220

          My Reasons for loosing weight:
to avoid diabetes, to avoid a heart attack, play with my kids without sucking wind, feel better, look better, and to enjoy life more.

          Goals: Date Achieved:
          325 1-07-09 320 1-14-09 315 2-08-09 310 4-01-09 305 4-15-09 300 5-21-09

We moved and I quit eating right for June, July, August, and September.

Starting induction AGAIN weighing 317 on 9-23-09

          Goals: Date Achieved:
          315 310 305 300 295 290 280 270 260 250 240 230 220

Hi, and thanks a lot for your support.
Yes, I have been doing induction the entire time. I am taking a multi-vitamin.
I also drink at least 5 to 6 litres of water per day.
I don't eat past 7pm at night -- and workout with cardio and light weights 5 days a week.
Its been challenging to say the least - but it got easier once I seen the weight coming off. I have lost my daily craving for beer (which was probably one of the bigger reasons I gained my weight, plus the fact when i would drink, I would eat - and eat A LOT.

I've been on Atkins before -- years ago --- so thankfully my body responded very well to this way of eating - this time around.
I will post my daily diet here for you in a few days -- just to give you a better idea of what I've done thus far.

Wishing you all the best !!

I'm looking forward to seeing your daily diet post. We have almost the exact same starting weight so it's good for me to see what's possible by following induction. Good job!
