  • Weight Loss Success

    Hey Everyone,

I have been on Atkins since March and I have lost 20 lbs to date and still losing, slowly but surely. Just wanted to share with everyone that Atkins has really inspired me to lose weight in the healthiest way possible. I have become enamored with cooking healthy and eating more of what the natural earth has to offer. I started my own website as a tribute to cooking and gardening fresh veggies. Check it when you guys have a chance. Gardening Chic in the City - Home. There are great recipes and great gardening tips as well. Please check it out when you have a moment.

I am doing my vegetable planting in raised beds too....based on the square foot gardening method. I have two 4x4 beds and one that is 2x16 because I wanted to grow so many things that needed a trellis! But, it is exciting to watch them grow, even in the middle of town. You don't need a whole bunch of space to grow enough veggies for a family.

            Re: Weight Loss Success

I know what you mean!! LOL, I just put up a trellis for my beans as well. I think it is such a great thing that we are able to do gardening by the foot. It is unbelievable! I also have 2- 4x4 beds and 1- 3x4. I want to put in more, but there are only 2 of us!

Part of the reason why I decided to put the pics, of the bed up on the website, was because I felt that so many of us are mislead when it comes to gardening! I used to think that I needed acres upon acres. It is amazing that we are able to get so many vegetables out of such little space so good for us!

I actually took pics this weekend of my sugar snap peas growing up on a trellis. They will be up by tomorrow on the site. Thanks for taking the time to look. TTYS
