Dear All,
I posted the first day i started to introduce myself and to thank all the previous posters for the support and encouragement before i embarked on my own personal campaign.
I wanted to keep you posted of my progress and hope it spurs someone else out there to start to day.
Day 1, 15th of April i was 40 years old, 241lbs 6ft 1inch and needed a change, as I said, i stumbled accross this forum and started to follow the induction....to be honest i have stuck to the plan as best as possible and have never really strayed too far, my only treat is the occasional couple of bottles of Coors Lite, apart from that its been salads, meat eggs and water galore. Only recently i have started running at lunchtime with colleagues and now we are up to 10k in just over an hour. A great site for those of you with Nokia phones is this one for keeping track of ur progress, we could even set up an Atkins Group www.sportstracker.nokia.com
I have had my ups and downs like most others on this plan with some of the plateau's/stalls causing me serious pain.
Today i am 214lbs and the same height
and can run 10k without stopping. This is the lightest i have been in 20 years and enjoying every moment of it. My plan is to stick with it, as it is now a habit and a complete lifestyle change. My goal is to see sub 200lbs on the scales and i can see it now in my not to distant future for the first time since I was 18 years.
Finally, i have to thank my beautiful wife and my 4 fantastic boys for all their support, encouragement and salads during my weightloss journey.....
For all those first timers out there...stick with it....and for all the veterans, thanks for the inspiration
