  • one week on induction

Well I have one week of induction behind me. I've lost just over 10# this first week. I know this rate won't last but I'm enjoying it while I can!! I plan on doing an extended induction till I'm at least 3/4 of the way there. This is a great site, thank you all for being here and your support.

staying on induction until you are 3/4 of the way to your goal weight won't give you enough time to get through the rungs properly and into pre-maintenance let alone maintenance. You'll find after awhile on extended induction you'll tire of the restriction of the foods allowed --- when you move on to Rung 1 and add 5 additional net carbs of veggies you'll have more variety and will be able to continue loosing.

          Re: one week on induction

Welcome aboard. You'll probably go crazy if you stick with induction for that long! Nor is it necessarily advisable. It's not as though you need to lose 100 pounds or something. I would suggest maybe sticking with induction for three weeks in total (by which time you will really be bored) and then moving onto OWL.

You might find these threads useful for the "rungs":

Good luck, stick with the program, gradually start exercising and you should be fine!
