I work in what is regarded as a high stress job (nuclear power plant operations) I don't find it to be but others may.
Anyhooooo, one of the oddities of the environment I'm in is that we work rotating shift work and sometimes long hours.
Normally thats not too bad because when operating (the plant is at power making electricity) my job is primarily that of monitoring systems with little "physical" labor. Currently , however, we are in the middle of a refueling outage(the plant is secured to refuel the reactor's core and a grunch of other maintenance that is either safer, easier, or just more convienient to do while off line) that adds a great deal of work for everyone. Because of this, Management often will foot the bill and order out pizza or other stuff for the operations crew to help alieviate some stress and "force" breaks in the day.
Yesterday was a pizza day for my crew. I actually removed and comsumed the toppings (minimized the sauce) and was perfectly content with that. I was actually dreading the first pizza day since I started this woe. I consider pizza probably my favorite food on the planet. To be honest, it tastes almost the same without the bread!
It's these little victories that make life worth livin'
